Earth Wind & Fire Tickets Available February 1st
Wichita, KS (PRWeb) December 12, 2006 -- Tickets for the March 31st performance by the band Earth, Wind & Fire will go on sale February 1st. Tickets are priced at $35, $65 and $95 and are available at www.downingfoundation.org and Select-A-Seat outlets. The event will be held at the Kansas Coliseum.
Earth, Wind & Fire is the headline act for this year's Downing Concert Series fundraising event . The evening includes a pre-concert fundraising dinner with reserved seats priced at $250, $500 and $1,000. To reserve seats call 316.737.7684. Also, there's a pre-party for general admission ticket-holders sponsored by AT&T. No reservation is required for the pre-party. Admittance is a $10 cover charge paid at the door.
"This is a community concert, a community event," says Buff Hukle, event chair. "Ticket pricing reflects a lower than average range, making the performance available to the entire city. With each seat and ticket sold, we can enjoy the show and we can take part in strengthening our community."
Cargill is the presenting sponsor of this year's event. Other sponsors include INTRUST Bank and Koch Industries. Jimmie "J.J." Walker will serve as the master of ceremonies at the fundraising dinner.
The Downing Concert Series, established by Paula and Barry Downing, assists area non-profit groups with fundraising and awareness. This year's beneficiaries are The Center for Health & Wellness, TOP Learning Center and Boys & Girls Club; all part of the 21st Street area revitalization. Last year's event donated $350,000 to The Wichita Center for the Arts.
